FRASER, Mich. – The Metro Jets completed the home-and-home sweep of the Toledo Cherokee with a 6-0 shutout Saturday night at Fraser Hockeyland.
Jets goalie Brian Tallieu stopped all 13 shots he faced to earn the win in goal.
Offensively, Christian Rawling scored his first junior goal and Conner Graham, Brandon Graham and Justin Song all recorded a goal and an assist in the win.
“Rhett Limback won the draw clean back to me and I walked to the middle and with a couple screens going across, it was an easy goal,” said Rawling. “Just shot it glove side and it went in.”
Cory Schwartz and Tyler German also scored, while Joey Demarte (pictured) tacked on three assists.
Parker Simpson made 43 saves for the Cherokee in suffering the defeat.
Also Saturday night, the Metro Jets DP Team fell 6-4 on the road to the Pittsburgh Vengeance at the Alpha Ice Complex.
Brock Taylor led the way with a goal and two assists, while Nick McDougall added a goal and an assist and Zack Kippe and Brayden Tayles scored one apiece.
Anthony Carlier and Will Augustine combined to make 29 saves in goal for the Jets.
The Jets DP Team plays again Sunday in Pittsburgh at 11:40 a.m.
The Jets are off until next Saturday when the play on the road against the Lansing Wolves at 7:30 p.m. from the Summit Sports and Ice Complex.
