Jets open 2025-26 USPHL season with 6-1 win on home ice over MJDP

MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. – Luka Pivec scored three goals as the Metro Jets opened the 2025-26 season with a 6-1 victory over the MJDP team Friday afternoon at Mount Clemens Ice Arena.

Evan Peacock and Philip Hall split time in goal, combining for 28 saves.

AJ Zaccagni registered a goal and two assists, Ayden Hartzell had a goal and an assist, and Aidan Charron also scored. Jets captain Jake Taylor collected two assists in the game as well.

For the MJDP, Landon Graham scored with 4:45 left in the third period and Cam Cyrus and Arnaud Paradis combined to make 48 saves between the pipes.

This weekend, the Jets host the Toledo Cherokee Friday night at 7:45 p.m. and the Columbus Mavericks Saturday at 4:30 p.m. The MJDP takes to the road to play the Fort Wayne Spacemen Saturday night at 7 p.m. from PSM Icehouse Rink 47, a game that follows the Jets Elite team playing Fort Wayne at 4 p.m.
