CHESAPEAKE, Va. – The MJDP won its second game at USPHL Nationals Saturday afternoon, downing the New York Aviators 7-1 at the Chilled Ponds Ice Complex.
Even with finshing 2-1 in their pool, the MJDP did not advance to the national semifinals.
Joey Mocnik scored twice, to go along with single goals from Tim Washburn, Austin Ieuter, Jake Aslanian, Mitch Forton and Jake Aslanian in the win.
Patrick Hays added two assists, while Ieuter and Forton tallied assists for two-point games.
In goal, Daniel Miscavish stopped 26 shots for the victory.

Earlier in the day, the Metro Jets concluded their round robin with a 1-0 loss to the Charleston Colonials, finishing 0-3 in their pool and also not advancing to the semifinals.
Will Augustine collected 19 saves between the pipes for the Jets.
