LOCKPORT, N.Y. – The Metro Jets played a two-game road series this week, sweeping the Buffalo Stampede Tuesday night and Wednesday afternoon from the Cornerstone CFCU Arena.
In the opening game, Tyler Bautko scored three goals with an assist and Alex Bedenko added three goals of his own in a 12-1 win for the Jets.
Tyler Husted (pictured below) pitched in with a goal and four assists, Luke Gaffney posted a goal and two assists, and Mason Cole and Robert Vanderdonck each had a goal with a helper.
Alex Blankenship and Ethan Hellman (pictured front) scored one each, and Ugo Lollier, Steven Miller, and Jack Noonan all had two assists apiece.
Taylor White made 10 saves in goal as the Jets outshot Buffalo 67-11.
For Buffalo, Gavin Lafferty scored and Liam Letters finished with 55 saves between the pipes.
Wrapping up the series Wednesday, Carson Redd popped two goals and two assists in a 10-2 Jets’ win.
Yarne Vaerewyck and Brock Hart had a goal and two assists each, and Bedenko, Cole, and Lollier went for a goal and a helper apiece. Gaffney chipped in two assists.
Vanderdonck, Seve Litz, and Steven Miller also scored in the win as Carson MacKenzie made 12 saves in goal.
The Jets outshot Buffalo 46-14.

Matthew Riblett scored both Stampede goals and goaltender Lucas Prince stopped 36 shots.
The Jets, MJDP, and Metro Jets Elite teams are all idle this weekend.
