Grongstad, Kott score, Augustine makes 32 saves, but Jets fall to Rockets in national championship game Tuesday

HUDSON, N.H. – The Metro Jets came up short in their bid for a USPHL national championship, falling 3-2 Tuesday afternoon to the Rockets Hockey Club in the title game at Cyclones Arena.

Anders Grongstad opened the scoring for the Jets at 8:10 of the first period, only to see the Rockets score the next three.

Dakota Kott made it 3-2 at 13:07 of the third period but the Jets could not find the equalizer.

In goal, Will Augustine finished with 32 saves for the Jets.
