FRASER, Mich. – After advancing Tyler German to the NAHL’s Jamestown Rebels earlier this season, the Metro Jets are at it again moving players to the Tier II level.

Today, the Jets announced that rookie defenseman Josh German (Tyler’s younger brother) and third-year forward Anthony Cinato have been called up to the NCDC’s Twin City Thunder.

“Obviously, we are excited for this opportunity for Josh and Anthony,” Jets coach-GM Justin Quenneville said. “This is AC’s second call up and we will never turn down these chances for our guys. Twin City is a top-notch program with excellent coaches and staff. We are fortunate to have personal relationships with programs at the next level and in college.

“We won’t deviate from doing everything we can to continue to develop and advance players.”

This season, the 2002-born German, a Canton native, has produced two goals and 18 points in 19 games. Cinato, a 2000 from Warren and member of the Jets’ 2018 national championship team, leads the team in scoring with 15 goals and 42 points in 21 games. Last season, Cinato was called up to the NCDC with the Boston Jr. Bruins and recorded one goal in two games.

The Thunder, located in Auburn, Maine, is a member of the USPHL NCDC (National Collegiate Development Conference). Last year, the USPHL saw 281 NCAA commitments, with the NCDC’s Jr. Bruins leading the way with 17 NCAA Division I commitments.
