USPHL Detroit Showcase: Day 1 recap

FRASER, Mich. – Highlights were aplenty for the Metro Jets on Thursday as the USPHL Detroit Showcase opened at Fraser Hockeyland.

Jets teams played four games, with the MHC gaining its first win with a 3-0 shutout over the Motor City Hockey Club, the Jets dominating and scoring eight unanswered goals in an 8-1 win over the Buffalo Thunder, and the MJDP taking the Toledo Cherokee to overtime before dropping a 3-2 decision.

In the MHC win, Salvatore Carabelli picked up the win in net, stopping all 18 shots fired his way. Brandon Plummer had a goal and an assist, while Brennan Zatelli and Danny Haack also scored.
