Matt has been with the team since the 2008-09 season running the team’s media and communication departments. Matt also oversees the music/announcing during most game days and maintains all social media platforms for the Jets. You can see him with his boys (Ethan and Wyatt) regularly at Mount Clemens Ice Arena helping put on a first-class operation. Matt also works as the director of communications for Lapeer Community Schools and owns Rubber Hockey Magazines.

Congratulations to two-year #MetroJets forward Chris Kobayashi on his commitment to VSB Technical University of Ostrava.
The Steel Hawks are a Division 1 team in the EUCHL, a growing university league that offers student-athletes an opportunity to play high-level hockey and earn their degrees.
In two years playing for the #MJDP team, the Hillsdale, N.J., native put up 17 goals and 18 assists for 35 points over 82 regular-season games, with another three points in seven postseason games.

Jake Drinkard skated for the #MetroJets from 2014-16, putting up 31 goals and 43 assists for 74 points in 68 regular-season games, adding another 15 points in 17 playoff games.
The Lapeer, Mich., native then played four seasons at NCAA Division III Lawrence University from 2016-20, recording 26 goals and 26 assists for 52 points in 89 games, serving as team captain in 2019-20.
Drinkard saw his first professional action at the end of the 2019-20 season with the SPHL’s Birmingham Bulls.
