Coach Q enters his 10th year as Program Head Coach/GM. He has led the Jr.A team to 9 straight National Championship Appearances (4 X Finalists + 1 X National Champions), 9 Division+Season & Playoffs Championships including the only Junior A & USAH season undefeated record in Junior hockey history (47-0-0). 2 time Coach of the Year Awards (2016+2017) and GM of the Year (2017). The Jets have also won 2 straight Organization of the Year awards (2016+2017), including winning 3 regular season titles (2016, 2019, 2021). More importantly, the team has had over 80+ players in the past 7 seasons get called up to the NAHL/NCDC and NCAA commitments. Coach Q first started his coaching career leading the Corpus Christi IceRays (NAHL) from 2010-2013 where the team led the NAHL in USHL call-ups and Draft Picks. The team also saw its first NHL draft pick in 2012. He was also named Top Prospects coach in 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018. Prior to Coaching, he played 7 years professionally (AHL, ECHL, UHL, CHL) and NCAA hockey. Throughout his playing career Pro he was named Team MVP 3 times, 4 time All-Star, 1 CHL Man of the Year. Coach Lovell enters his 9th year as Associate Head Coach and 9th as Strength Coach. He brings years of experience and knowledge helping develop players on and off the ice. Prior to the Jets, he was an Assistant Coach with the Port Huron Falcons (NAHL) team for 2 years. He also played professionally in the IHL and CHL, capping his career off with a championship with the Fort Wayne Komets. Prior to his professional career, Lovell played in college hockey in Canada and in the OHL. Lovell also coached AAA youth hockey in Detroit for 5+ Years. (resume)

Randy Wilson is entering his 16th season with the Jets and brings a wealth of experience. From 2004 to 2011 he was the goalie coach for the Saginaw Spirit (OHL) and helped USA U18 team capture a world championship. Coach Wilson also has worked with Springfield Jr. Blues (NAHL) as goalie coach and Head Scout. In addition, he has helped train and develop NHL goalies such as (Jack Campbell (LA), Connor Hellebuyck (WPG) and Andrew Hammond (COL), among many other Pro, College and Junior Goaltenders. (resume)

Danny is a coach with the Jets since 2024. Coach Vanderwiel was instrumental with all 3 teams in helping each continue their in and post season success. Roles include: head coaching, development, video, academy.... He continues his junior coaching after finishing a successful pro career. Prior to the pro ranks, he played 4 years in the OHL for the Plymouth Whalers. Not only did Danny have a successful playing career, but showed strong leadership skills as a captain in the OHL and the pro ranks. (resume)

Associate Head Coach/Video Coach Jake joined the Jets in 2023. A previous Head Coach in the USPHL and coach in the NAHL for Minot adds to an already decorated staff. Coach Howie was instrumental in helping the Jets teams reach Nationals and win their divisions the last 2 seasons, including leading MJDP to a Semi-Final at the 2024 National Championships. Previously, Jake played 3 years professionally in the SPHL after 4 NCAA years at Marian in Wisconsin. A standout player everywhere he played, Jake also put together 4 years of junior playing experience with 2 of those seasons in the NAHL.

Scott Sturgeon grew up in small town Winchester, WI. After high school, Scott answered the call to serve his country for the United States Navy. Once he returned home, he started to coach youth hockey and led his team the their first state championship. The success followed while coaching AAA and junior hockey levels. During the 2017-18 season, Coach Sturgeon led the Ironwood Fighting Yoopers (USPHL) to a winning record and the programs first playoff appearance. Scott now works remotely from Park Falls, WI raising his three kids. In addition to Coach Sturgeon recruiting players, he also plays a role with the advancement of players. He enters his 1st season with the Jets from the Hudson Havoc (USPHL) where he was an instrumental part to the teams success on the ice and off the ice with numerous NCAA Commitments. He joins an already established program in the Jets to help continue bringing more opportunities for our players. (resume)

Southern US Scout Joe Muller has been coaching Hockey for the past twenty (20) years in South Florida for both Roller and Ice Hockey at various levels with success. Joe’s coaching experience includes High School programs and at the College level with FAU and the University of Miami in the ACHA. While coaching at these various levels, Joe went to become a Board member, and subsequentExecutive Board member with the Florida Panthers Scholastic Hockey League (FPSHL), where he currently serves and is a coach. With the FPSHL, Joe started the Elite Player Development Program and has coached FPSHL teams (Team Florida) at America’s Showcase Tournament, Pre-Draft Tournament, Chowder Cup Tournament, the Finland Lions Cup Tournament, along with several other tournaments. Joe has coached and assisted in recruiting players for travel youth hockey teams. His commitment, experience, and involvement in these various programs has led him to developing numerous coaching and recruiting relationships, including with veteran NHL players, various college level coaches, and Junior level programs, that has helped numerous student athletes obtain the opportunity to move on to playing hockey at higher levels.

Mike joins the Jets with over 15+ of junior experience. His experience includes coaching and scouting roles with the Buffalo Regals in the GOJHL, Buffalo Stampede in the USPHL, Milton Icehawks in the OJHL, in addition to Head Coach of the University of Buffalo hockey team. Mike is also a graduate of York University and has his level 5 USA hockey card.

Pete has been the Owner/President of the Metro Jets Hockey Club since 2015. A resident of Tampa Bay, FL, Pete and his wife Vivian are avid hockey fans as well as season ticket holders with Lightning. Pete has been a big reason for the growth of the Jets organization and continued success on and off the ice. You can regularly see Pete when he visits the team wearing his #15 Cammick Jets Jersey or supporting the team anywhere he goes.

- Director of Communications
Matt has been with the team since the 2008-09 season running the team's media and communication departments. Matt also oversees the music/announcing during most game days and maintains all social media platforms for the Jets. You can see him with his boys (Ethan and Wyatt) regularly at Mount Clemens Ice Arena helping put on a first-class operation. Matt also works as the director of communications for Lapeer Community Schools and owns Rubber Hockey Magazines.

- Team Broadcaster/Media
Matt is the voice of the Jets. You can tune in to all our games home/away and hear Matt call the game live. He has been in broadcasting for over 30 years and in addition to the Jets, Matt will be seen at other league events calling games in showcases and Nationals.

Stu has been with the Jets for over 10 years and oversees the video and play-by-play for all Jets home games. Stu is a veteran in the industry where he also works with the Detroit Tigers (MLB), Detroit Red Wings (NHL) and Detroit Pistons (NBA).
