Sign Up & Get in the Game
Head to 2aDays login above and create your free account. This gives you access to thousands of college coaches and program reviews written by current and former athletes. It’s insider info that gives you a competitive edge.
Build Your Player Profile
Upload your stats, highlight video, academic info, and a solid bio. Think of this as your virtual first impression — make it strong. College coaches want to see who you are on and off the ice, so don’t skip the details. This profile becomes your recruiting resume.
Tip: Include your position, shooting hand, team, GPA, SAT/ACT scores, and your goals (both athletic and academic).
Identify Your Target Schools
Search by league (NCAA D1, D3, ACHA, etc.), geography, or your preferred academic programs. Make a list of schools where you’d realistically fit and dream big too — there’s nothing wrong with reaching high if you’re willing to work for it.
Tip: Use filters to search by college hockey programs that align with your major — this isn’t just about hockey, it’s about your future.
Do the Deep Dive
Here’s where 2aDays really shines. Read athlete-submitted reviews on coaching styles, team culture, practice intensity, and more. Watch for trends — does the coach favor freshmen? How’s the team dynamic? Would you thrive in that environment?
Tip: Treat this like game film — study it, analyze it, and use it to make smarter decisions.
Start Contacting Coaches
Use the insights you’ve gained to write personalized emails to coaches. Mention something specific you liked from a review or why their program fits your goals. Attach your player profile and a highlight reel link. Be confident, professional, and direct.
Tip: 2aDays has recruiting templates and tools to help you write the right message — use them!
Keep Grinding — On Ice and Online
Stay active on 2aDays. Update your profile regularly with new stats or videos. Reach out to programs consistently. And don’t forget to ask questions when a coach replies — it shows initiative and maturity. This process is about standing out in the best way possible.
Final Word from the Coach:
You’ve got one shot to own your recruiting journey. Use 2aDays like you use your stick — smart, precise, and to create opportunities. Coaches notice the players who are prepared, proactive, and passionate.
Let’s make sure they notice you.
