FRASER, Mich. – The Metro Jets used three third-period goals to come alive and down the Wooster Oilers 4-2 Saturday night at Fraser Hockeyland.

After a scoreless first period, Jhuwon Davis tallied the Jets’ first goal early in the second period only to have Wooster’s Andrew Kolenic tie the game heading into the second intermission.

Matt Cruz, Joey Demarte (pictured) and Brodie Thornton scored in the third period and Brian Tallieu finished with 21 saves in goal.

“I think this was a good bounce-back game for us," said Jets associate coach Jamie Lovell. "We won the game last night (3-1 in Lansing), but I think the guys will be honest to say it wasn't one of our better games. Today was a much better effort and knowing this was Wooster’s only game this weekend, they were going to come hard and play a physical game, and I thought we matched it.”

Zach Zwierecki added a goal in the final period for the Oilers and Michael Hubbard made 33 saves between the pipes.

The Metro Jets DP Team fell 3-0 on the road to the Pittsburgh Vengeance on Saturday night. Anthony Carlier made 28 saves for the Jets.

The Jets next play a home-and-home series with the Toledo Cherokee next Friday and Saturday, starting Friday at 7 p.m. at the Team Toledo Ice House and wrapping Saturday at 7:30 p.m. back at Fraser Hockeyland.

The Jets DP squad continues with Pittsburgh Sunday afternoon at 11:40 a.m.
