FRASER, Mich. - For the fourth straight season, the Metro Jets are NA3HL East Division playoff champions.

Connor Inger scored twice and Brian Tallieu stopped all 27 shots he faced as the Jets swept the Pittsburgh Vengeance with a 2-0 win Saturday night at Fraser Hockeyland.

With the victory, the Jets advance to the Fraser Cup National Tournament in Romeoville, Ill., which includes the eight NA3HL division winners.

"The score wasn't indicative of how we played, said Jets coach-GM Justin Quenneville. "(Pittsburgh goalie Joel) De Simone stood on his head and gave them a chance. I'm more proud of how we controlled the pace and made the right decisions in the times we needed to make the big play. We kept it simple."

Inger scored first at 6:19 of the first period and sealed the game with an empty-net goal at 19:28 of the third period.

De Simone finished with 37 saves for the Vengeance.

"It was a fast game tonight and Pittsburgh was physical tonight, just like they were Thursday night," said Inger. "It was a close game and we just kept pucks out of our end and at their goalie's feet."

The Fraser Cup stars Tuesday and the Jets will be the No. 2 seed in the tournament. A full schedule will be released once all playoff series are complete.

All Fraser Cup games will be streamed on www.hockeytv.com
