USPHL Chicago Showcase wraps as Jets down Blue Ox, MJDP falls to Havoc

CHICAGO – Wrapping up the USPHL Chicago Showcase Sunday, the Metro Jets defeated the Minnesota Blue Ox 4-2, while the MJDP suffered a 5-1 loss to the Hudson Havoc.

In the Jets win, Trevor Granzow went for a goal and an assist and Nick Ceccarini, Josh German and Matt Cruz (pictured) all scored.

Anthony Cinato added three assists, Nolan Turi a pair of helpers and Will Augustine finished with 22 saves in goal.

Next up for the Jets is the USPHL Boston Showcase from Jan. 3-5. 

The Jets play the Boston Bandits on Jan. 3 at 9:50 a.m., the Skipjacks Hockey Club on Jan. 3 at 6:40 p.m., the New York Aviators on Jan. 4 at 7:30 p.m. and the Northern Cyclones on Jan. 5 at 3 p.m.

In the MJDP loss to Hudson, Brennan Zatelli netted the lone goal and Kris Eberly made 47 stops in net.

Heading to the Boston Showcase as well, the MJDP will play the South Shore Kings on Jan. 3 at 8:30 a.m., the Jersey Hitmen on Jan. 3 at 3:10 p.m., the Connecticut Nighthawks on Jan. 4 at 5:40 p.m. and the Potomac Patriots on Jan. 5 at 12:20 p.m.
