Jets open Chicago Showcase downing Moose, MJDP falls to Pittsburgh

CHICAGO – The Metro Jets and MJDP kicked off the USPHL Chicago Showcase Friday at the Leaf Centre, with the Jets defeating the Minnesota Moose 3-1 and the MJDP falling to the Pittsburgh Vengeance 3-1.

In the Jets win, Justin Renzi posted a goal and an assist, Anthony Cinato and Matt Bleim scored and Machus Turner finished with 25 saves in goal.

Saturday, the Jets play the Hudson Havoc at 12:50 p.m. and the Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings at 7:50 p.m.

For the MJDP, Patrick Hays scored and Michael Paul made 42 stops between the pipes.

The MJDP also plays two games Saturday, taking on the Minnesota Blue Ox at 11:10 a.m. and the Dells Ducks at 10 p.m.
