Jets score twice in the third period, hang on to drop Lansing Saturday night

FRASER, Mich. – The Metro Jets and Lansing Wolves played 40 minutes of scoreless hockey Saturday night at Fraser Hockeyland.

Fortunately for the Jets, Robby Flannery (pictured) and Connor Inger scored in the third period and Metro held off a late rally from Lansing to skate away with a 2-1 win.

Andrew Kormos made 25 saves for the Jets, only allowing a Jacob Redman goal late in the third period.

Lansing goalie Sean Finstrom finished with 36 saves in suffering the defeat.

The Jets are now off until next Friday night when they travel to Toledo for the first game in a home-and-home series with the Cherokee at 7 p.m. from the Team Toledo Ice House.

Metro then hosts Toledo next Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. back at Fraser Hockeyland.
