Four different players score, Tallieu turns aside 24 shots as Metro trips up Peoria

FRASER, Mich. – Four different players scored, and Brian Tallieu made 24 saves in goal as the Metro Jets defeated the Peoria Mustangs 4-1 Saturday night at Fraser Hockeyland.

Anthony Cinato (pictured), Joey Bruce, George Hansen and Jeremy Schwartz found the back of the net for the Jets, while Rhett Limback contributed a pair of assists in the victory.

“We took pucks to the net and did a good job getting pucks deep,” said Jets assistant coach Jamie Lovell. “Their goalie was fighting the puck a little bit, so getting traffic on him early helped.”

Tallieu’s only blemish was a Jack Healy goal with 1.1 seconds left in the second period.

Peoria goalie Jaden Gardner finished with 40 saves between the pipes.

“The game got physical, got chippy towards the end and a couple of our guys got banged up, but we’ll get some other guys in there tomorrow and hopefully, that will help weather that storm,” added Lovell. “I’m sure those guys are going to come hard Sunday.”

Game time Sunday back at Fraser Hockeyland is 12:45 p.m.
