Flannery the OT hero as Jets even East finals with Vengeance Saturday night

FRASER, Mich. – Robby Flannery scored the game-tying goal and the overtime game-winning goal Saturday night as the Metro Jets forced a deciding Game 3 in the NA3HL East Division finals with a 3-2 win over the Pittsburgh Vengeance at Fraser Hockeyland.

Flannery tied the game at 6:43 of the third period on a Jets power play and then won it 14:22 into overtime.

Jets goalie Andrew Kormos finished with 29 saves and Louis Boudon added a power-play goal at 11:38 of the first period.

Connor Inger registered two assists on the night, including the primary helper on Flannery’s winning tally.

For Pittsburgh, Austin Martz and Cam Williams each had a goal and an assist and Joel De Simone made 49 stops in goal.

The deciding Game 3 is set for Sunday at 12:15 p.m., with the winner representing the East Division at the Silver Cup National Championship next weekend in suburban Chicago.
